Airtime Engineering:

We are a diverse team of engineers that work on everything from scaling media servers around the world to building highly performant and complex UI on iOS and Android. We are pushing the limits on real time interactivity. We are looking for engineers who like to work with exceptional people on challenging problems.

Responsibilities:                             

  • Implement new features and fix existing bugs on the iOS app.
  • Work with product and design team on feature specification; 
  • Implement features for the iOS native app using objective C and Swift; 
  • Attend planning meetings and discussions with backend engineers on API design and implementation; 
  • Fix any bugs/issues that come up during testing.
  • Interface with customer support and QA teams to triage issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis of issues with quality assurance team on Jira tool;
  • Guide the QA team on what test cases were needed and provide them with the tools to effectively debug an issue;
  • Look at data and metrics on mixpanel tool to identify anomalies in software and fix them.
  • Conduct performance analysis of the application to find bottlenecks.
  • Use Apple instrument tool available via Xcode to find bottlenecks;
  • Analyze the performance of the application for CPU overruns or memory problems;
  • Work with customer support and QA to reproduce issues seen on the field. 
  • Give feedback to product and design team on roadmap.
  • Provide accurate estimate and timeline for product features based on specs on Jira;
  • Work with designers using the sketch tool to give feedback to design teams;
  • Perform technical analysis and feasibility studies on complex feature request. 
  • Build and submit new versions to the Apple app store.
  • Work on the iOS build system with tools like Carthage, Fastlane and CircleCI to create app package;
  • User the iTunes connect tool to distribute new version of the app;
  • Coordinate with marketing and quality assurance team on versioning and submission of releases. 
  • Collaboration and mentor other team members.
  • Review code using github tool and offer constructive comments for members of the team; 
  • Help answer technical questions and decisions as they arise; 
  • Write and maintain documentation on design and architecture; 
  • Work with product managers, designers, community team, and QA to come up with the best way to build and iterate new features.

Minimum Requirements: Position requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study, plus five years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation. 

Must possess five years of knowledge and experience utilizing Objective-C; Swift (iOS); iOS application development frameworks; iOS tools including Xcode and Xcode instruments; Git version control; Jira; Advanced Data Structures; Algorithms; Web application and development; and React Native (iOS and Android). 

Must possess at least five years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using Java and object oriented design.
