Airtime is looking for a Community Development Intern.  We provide paid internship opportunities for college students and new grads to gain real-world experience, add value to our team.  The engagement will be for a three to six months period with the option to extend. We’re looking for eager and in-the-know Community Interns excited about assisting the marketing team transfer and establish new niche communities onto Airtime. This is an exceptional opportunity to get exposure to community management with a meaningful amount of autonomy and empowerment to be super curious about digital culture, music, gaming, and more. This role will require a highly organized individual who is passionate, self-starting, personable, and creative. 

This is a fast-paced role and the right candidate should be very comfortable interacting with new people via live social audio and video chats. Knowledge and inroads with niche K-Pop, gaming or college communities will be a plus. 

A bit about the role:

  • Works collaboratively with members across product, strategy, and marketing
  • Support the Community Partnership team’s activity with lead generation and outreach
  • Cultivate new and nurture established relationships with day-to-day needs of partners and ambassadors
  • Provide assistance in bringing communities to Airtime and raise awareness of the company or a local and interest affiliation level
  • Assist with special projects as needed such as community brainstorms or editorial programs
  • Learn about marketing through hands-on experience in growth marketing, strategy, user engagement, and creative content development
  • Works closely with the Senior Director Marketing and Community Partnerships
  • Stay up to date on social media/pop cultures and participate in authentic social conversations with community leaders from the K-Pop, gaming, or college spaces
  • Manage various Google calendars of Airtime events
  • Results focused, hard-working, critical thinker who is motivated by community building in the Los Angeles area, and surrounding regions at a grassroots level
  • Ideal candidates are highly networked with strong campus or alumni ties and/or have a strong pulse on their local communities

A bit about you:

  • Strong knowledge of Tiktok, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, and emerging platforms
  • You are currently enrolled in college; recent grads (within one year) will also be considered
  • You are located in or near Los Angeles, CA
  • You are results-focused, persistent, and thrive taking risks
  • You are achievement-oriented and energized by taking on challenges in a competitive landscape
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong work ethic
  • You are organized and detail oriented
  • You have strong written and communication skills
  • You are available to work 15-25 hours per week
  • Previous start-up and/or grassroots organizing experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Experience or interest in digital media preferred
  • Positive attitude is a must!
