A bit about the role:

Airtime is looking for a Director of Product Acquisition and Growth to energize and excite large groups to follow and engage with Airtime's live social platform where events are always happening.  In this role, the director will help our users discover new and interesting creators, and help our creators build audiences. The ideal candidate has demonstrated success building and growing a social graph, influencing product trends, leveraging recommendations and follow models and is well-versed in product metrics.  This is a heavy data role that requires technical level familiarity with social networks, fluency with recommendation algorithm models and growth tactics, plus good UX sense to think through flows in the product that are critical to activation, engagement and retention

A bit about the work:

  • Architect and owner of core aspects of our product growth vision, responsible for thinking through some of our toughest feature challenges assisting our members grow their graphs in meaningful ways 
  • Design Airtime’s product growth strategy that demonstrates a concrete data driven understanding of product metrics with qualitative feedback to conduct a variety of a/b tests that lead to a continuous growth strategy (long-stay metrics) that enables leadership to make informed product decisions
  • Designs, develops, implements and leads a team of PMs and the process regarding follow and recommendations model
  • Analyzes product data  that provides insights on follow model placements, notifications, in-app toasts, people follow lists, and invite flows used by creators and members to inform leadership of product modifications to ensure continued growth
  • Builds ordered lists of both people and rooms that offer a one-of-a-kind experience of product content that is timely, relevant and engaging 
  • Develops  a sticky/robust infrastructure that builds community that rewards creators and users for long-stays on our platform
  • Experienced at growing social communities/ networks leveraging platforms to include Twitter for authentication and integrations
  • Architects the model for feeding live events from selection and event prioritization order
  • Partners closely and effectively with leadership across our product, engineering and design teams
  • Illuminates product growth insights and with a deep understanding of our mission makes macro-optimizations to the product by defining quarterly KPIs and goals
  • Tracks all defined deliverables from conception through launch

A bit about you: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a business discipline or related field 
  • 8+ years product management focused on growth as well as user engagement and retention  
  • Success in designing product growth strategy that contributes to the overall product roadmap leveraging quantitative feedback  leveraging the use of a/b tests to make informed product decisions
  • Strong data analysis skills and demonstrated success mapping product strategy and leveraging data in decision making that distills complex data-driven decisions into simple, articulate and convincing summaries for the product and executive teams
  • Experience scaling product app growth (preferably in the social/community/ mobile space targeting Gen Z) with a strong background in making large swings in key metrics for Growth (e.g. daily signups, retention, and engagement (e.g. DAU/MAU)
  • Proficiency in collecting, synthesizing and incorporating user-feedback and mapping it to the overall product vision and roadmap
  • A creative thinker with a critical eye on evaluating product features, architecture, and capabilities
  • Strong project management, leadership, and cross-group collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills through all levels of the organization, technical and non-technical
